Youth Rise Texas youth positions are designed for teens ages 15-20 who have been harmed by criminalization.
We want to work with you to:

#ArtsForward is Youth Rise Texas’ annual showcase of the artistic and cultural productions of our youth movement-makers. This year’s event will feature the works of our Digital Storytelling project, a collaboration with Texas Folklife, and Tunnel Vision, the final work our Theater Arts Project which will premier during Fusebox Festival .
#ArtsForward guest will experience an evening of self-guided listening stations of the Digital Storytelling Project, at-your-pace viewing of Tunnel Vision, and a youth artist talkback for audiences to hear first-hand about their artistic approaches to these works. Additionally, guests will be treated to delicious treats from some of Austin’s favorite restaurants, refreshments, and a cash bar.

Youth Rise Texas is a nonprofit dedicating to uplifting young people harmed by criminalization and deportation so that they may heal, take action, and cultivate compassionate communities. We are seeking multiple volunteer positions and one full time summer intern for our #StayWoke summer leadership program. Positions available immediately, including:
Regular weekly volunteers needed to support summer program coordination (M-F daytime availability, positions open now)
One-off occasional volunteer opportunities (evening and weekend availability, May-June), and
Positions for folks available only over the summer who might like to help with field trips or support us by making or delivering a donated lunch (M-F daytime availability, June-July).
